I saw a post in mywbut which says the CGPA formula as YGPA(1st+2nd+3rd*1.5+4th)/5 . Is it true? Can someone please explain the CGPA formula.

I have been consistently getting above 8 but as I try to calculate my CGPA it gets around 7.25 using the above formula

its a wrong formula.The formula for DGPA is (1st+2nd+3rd*1.5+4th*1.5)/5 and formula for CGPA upto a particular semester is the average of the GPAs upto that sem.
