always you have to think that prospect in order of job life is more secured in case of ECE and a wide horizen is awaiting you in this field...But a minus point is that you always have to stick to private-company-jobs, if you go job-life or service life...in other case if you bend to the teaching or professary line ,then there too ECE is brighter than AEIE...and the last word,always keep in mind-AEIE is nothing but a specialization and mixture of electrical and mechanical...I say this because instrumentation is a specialization of mechanical stream and electronics stream is the product of modern and urban need of direct application of electrical stream....so you see AEIE is gifted with the link to two different streams and herewith AEIE has also a competent market...But when the competition comes for two candidates having the b.tech degree in ECE and AEIE the student with ECE degree always wins...that is not that AEIE is bad...but ECE is a hot cake-in present life,shall retain after 5 years,should retain in future 15 years...
