Each subject has a given number of credits against its name. For example,in First Semester , Mathematics has four credits,Physics has also four credits but Mechanical Workshop has three credits.A grade is given for each of the subjects. O=10 points, E=9 points, A= 8 points ,B=7 points , C=6 points, D=5 points and F =4 points and I=2 points. F is for fail and I is for Incomplete. The total Semester Grade Points Awarded is given by the following formula : Σ(πcredits in each subject and grade awarded against it )/Total number of credits. For example if you have got O in Physics E in Maths and O in workshop , then your Grade points is equal to ==((10*4)+(9*4)+(10*3))/(4+4+3) == 9.63 !! Hopefully I have clarified your doubt!Good Luck with your results ! :)
