Naturally this one is a great achievement of this 50 year old college.JGEC is the third oldest among all technical institutions of the state after BESU and IIT KGP.The UGC team visited the college on December 22 ,2011.

The Second Internal Examination for the curriculum year 2011 has been scheduled on 3rd and 4th November.This is assumed to be a preparatory test held before the semesters.

On 27th September 2011, Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS) came for campusing in our college.They selected students on the basis of their performance in the aptitude tests and personal interview.
