Every year a large number of Aspirants from West Bengal and other states appear in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) to get admission into M.Tech. / M.E. from Government and Private Engineering Colleges all over India.

For GATE 2012, dates of application is over and it's time to give final touch to preparation for GATE 2012 which will be held on 12 February 2012.

What is New in GATE 2012?

• Pre-final year students are not eligible to write GATE 2012. For details, refer to eligibility for GATE examination.
• The use of pencils to darken the bubbles in the answer sheet has been discontinued from this year. Candidates should use only black ink ball point pen for darkening of the bubbles in the answer sheet.
• Sending Admit cards by post has been discontinued from this year. Admit cards can only be downloaded from the zonal GATE websites from 2nd January 2012. Bring the admit card to the test center along with at least one original (not photocopied / scanned copy) and valid (not expired) photo identification.
