Introduction to UAV (Quadcopter) Design
Training Duration: 18 - 21 hrs
Suitable For: 1st Yr / 2nd Yr / 3rd / 4th Yr B.Tech. students
Course Objective: During the training, Students will be developing and advanced 250 size racing Quadcopter.. Students will also test and fly the Quadcopter after completion of training.
Prerequisite: No experience is required.

- Classifications of UAVs
- DGCA regulations
- Design Consideration of UAV: Environment, Budget & Time, Airframe Design & Payload
- Type of Propulsion Systems: Engines & Electric Propulsion
- Navigation & Flight control Systems: Remote Control, Autopilot Systems & Ground control Station
- Inertial Measuring Units(IMU): Accelerometers & Gyroscope
- Space/region mapping: Sonar, Lidar & GPS
- FPV Systems
- Flight Simulators
- SELECTION OF ELECTRONIC HARDWARE
- Choosing of appropriate components for propulsion (BLDC Motors and ESCs) including thrust calculation.
- Choosing the right Power System: Batteries (Li-ion, Li-Poly, mAh Ratings, C Ratings) and chargers
- Choosing the right Flight Controller (8-bit, 32-bit, ACRO, Autopilot)
