Time Schedule :

Age Restriction : Candidates must be 17 (seventeen) years of age or above on 31.12.2013. There is no upper age limit except for the Marine Engineering Course for which upper age limit is 25 years as 31.07.2013.

Important Eligibility Criteria : General candidates must secure at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates) and at least 30% marks in English (for all categories) in 10 + 2

Question Pattern : In each subject all questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ-type, with four options including single correct answers). In MCQ type, for each incorrect response, 33.33% of marks will be deducted and more than one answer indicated against one question will be treated as incorrect response/ answer.

Examination Centres : In West Bengal, Tripura and Assam only.

Changes in WBJEE 2013 :

• Over the years, Physics & Chemistry exams were taken in a Single Paper; but from 2013 WBJEE Exam there will be separate exams for Physics paper and Chemistry paper. Each paper [Physics & Chemistry] will be of 75 marks.
• West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will not conduct any exam for Medical Admission because an All India based entrance test already started centrally.
• WBJEE Board declares that students appearing in WBJEE Exam 2013 should score marks more than ‘0’ in each subject to get ranking. WBJEE Board will publish Rank List up to 90 Thousands only from 2013.
