JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (JEM) - 2012

It is the Entrance Test for admission to different degree level Engineering & Technology/ Dairy Technology/ Pharmacy/ Agricultural Engineering etc as well as degree level Medical/ Dental course in Universities/ University Departments/ Government colleges as well as Self Financing Colleges of the State of West Bengal.

Cost of Application Form : Rs.500/- (for Engineering / Medical type Form) and Rs.600/- (for both Engineering & Medical type Form)

Sale of Application Kit ( from listed UBI Branches) : 28.12.2011 to 18.01.2012

Last Date for Receipt of duly filled in applications "by Speed post" only : 24.01.2012

Question Pattern : In each subject all questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ-type, with four options including single correct answers). In MCQ type, for each incorrect response, 33.33% of marks will be deducted and more than one answer indicated against one question will be treated as incorrect response/ answer.

Age Restriction : Candidates must be 17 (seventeen) years of age or above on 31.12.2012. There is no upper age limit except for the Marine Engineering Course for which upper age limit is 25 years as 31.07.2012.

Important Eligibility Criteria : General candidates must secure at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates) and at least 30% marks in English (for all categories) in 10 + 2

Date of Examination : April 15, 2012 (Sunday).

Examination Centres : In West Bengal and Agartala only.
